• Go-Ahead Ipswich? It looks likely that Go-Ahead is to purchase Ipswich Buses in 2010!
  This is good news for the people of Ipswich, as IB have been struggling for a fair while and not been running services as they should, Go-ahead would be the ideal company to take over IB, routes will be adjusted/changed to make them more efficient, better publicity and a better livery/image but more importantly to most people keeping the Ipswich Buses name.

W/C - 20th December:

• Ipswich Buses have been Successful at the 'Green bus fund' Government grant for 2 brand new Hybrid buses, these will be delivered Summer 2010.
  Vehicles that will be ordered in March will be an Enviro200 dart and an Optare Solo.

• Galloway 278 (AY09BYC) livery now complete, new variation simpler livery applied PIC HERE

• FEC - Full Size Singles (L94UBs/L113CRLs/B10BLEs) are now allocated to 62s since service cuts (24/11)
• Simonds Solo (KX04HRA) has arrived, seen on the 113/4's

W/C - 15th November:

• New Service 38A has started (21/11) to connect Car Parks in Ipswich due to demise of Crown St Carpark, normal Freeshuttle 245 (YJ05XNY) is used. 38A runs every 15 mins saturdays and late night Thursdays.
• Carters have a Mercedes Sprinter van for use on the 107 (BX53AXB) (W236DNO) to be a spare.
• Bus Stands have been moved around at Tower Ramparts to make place for a stand for the Park and Ride (Bury and London Rd) Service 16 has moved to share Service 6's stand, Service 2 now shares the stand with the 15.

W/C - 8th November:

• Ipswich 73 (YN56NVE) next to be repainted into livery
• Ipswich E200 demo (YX59BXW) has gone back to Alexander-Dennis (13/11)

• FEC 43359 back to BSE, 43445 back at Ipswich (though 43359 should be off to Essex soon)

• Chambers have purchased Olympian (R552LGH) from Beestons Sales, this replaces Olympian (R45LHK) that was de-roofed a few days before. (thanks DB)

• Constables have acquired 3 ex Arriva NorthWest Volvo B10B Wrights for School work,
  these are: (M516WHF), (M525WHF) and (M528WHF). to be up-seated to 53. (thanks DB)
• Beestons have acquired Volvo B10M Vanhool (L569ADS) from Soames and has been re-registered (226LRB).
• Beestons (524FN) (prev R380XYD) has been sold to WJC Buses, plate retained and re-registered (R111WJC).
• Ipswich 74 (YN56NVF) entered the paintshop on monday (5th) for repaint into standard livery.

W/C - 27th September:

• Suffolk County Council have trialed/looked at two Enviro's, a Dart/Enviro200 and an MAN/Enviro300 PICS HERE

• FEC 69424 repaired, 69429 in use on Rurals, seen on 77/5's Pic Here
• FEC 32479 on 801 (24/9) Pic Here This is due to MOT and 69424 with Accident damage.
• Ipswich Buses have repainted some of the Solos/Excel rear ends with Green so the livery follows around the rear instead of stopping at the lights and having a white bonnet. 170-1/3, 237/8/41/2 have been done.

  The Private Plate (EIG1357) has moved from (S617URT) and has been played on (R279RAU) The next scheduled repaint for Constable is OmniDekka (YN03DDA)
• Beestons/Constables now only have one brand new OmniDekka due for delivery in September, meaning the OmniCitys/Omnilink will be staying for the time being.
• Ipswich Buses 238 (YN03NDK) has lost its rear advert in favour of Fleet livery PIC HERE
